A Sacred Place will be participating in the Canaan Town Wide Yard Sale on Saturday September 24 from 9 – 4. We are asking for donations of good quality household items that we can sell. We’ve had some damage from hurricane Irene and need funds to effect repairs.

If you wish to donate items please call Sue/Auntie Shema @ 603-523-4051 to make arrangements. We have a number of people around New Hampshire acting as drop off points or who can pick up larger items. This is the perfect time to clean out closets and storage areas before Fall arrives. Help reduce, recycle, and reuse.

Greetings

I went up to Bethel, VT today thinking I would help bail out a friend’s flooded basement. I ended up shoveling 3″ deep mud out of a strangers. The destruction is heart breaking yet to watch strangers just stop at a home and offer to lend a hand was heart warming. It’s truly renewed my faith in humanity, which has become quite jaded over the years.
